Training for all juveniles will take place this Friday night April 22 in the Fairgreen at 6.45pm with the usual €2 contribution still applying. New players are welcome.
Our senior team opened up their Special League campaign with a good 3-16 to 2-11 victory over Knockbridge at the DKIT last Thursday night April 14. The team and scorers was - Donal Connolly, Donal Lee, Darren O Hanrahan, Tadhg Litchfield, Seamus Mulhall, Diarmuid Murphy, Aaron McGuinness Smith, Conal McEnaney, James Murphy, Fionn Cumiskey (0-3), Conor Murphy (2-4), Ultan McEnaney (0-2), Cathal Azzopardi, Dylan Carey (0-7), Kyle Judge. Subs used were Stephen Rafferty (1-0), Stephen Ryan and Jack Mulvihill.
They travelled up to Termonfeckin on Thursday night April 21 and beat St Fechins by 3-16 to 1-9 to qualify for the Special League Final. This Saturday afternoon April 23 they take on Arklow Rocks Parnell in the Leinster League Shield Final at Clan na Gael Park at 2.30. Support will be welcome.
Our U15 team are fixed to play Clontibret O Neills at home in the Tain Og League next Monday night April 25 at 7pm.
The Louth senior hurlers suffered a 5-12 to 3-11 defeat to Monaghan in round 2 of the Lory Meagher Cup in Darver on Sunday afternoon April 17. Mark Gahan (2-3) and Feidhelm Joyce (0-4) both started for Louth with Darren Geoghegan (0-2),Andrew Mackin, Padraig Fallon and Mattie Fee making substitute appearances. Louth take on Longford in Pearse Park this Saturday afternoon April 23 at 2pm.
Several of our young hurlers featured for the Louth U17 squad in the recent two defeats to Roscommon and Armagh in the Celtic Challenge competition.
