A Chairde,
Sunday 12th September was a momentous day in the 60 plus years of the history of our club with the completion of seeding one of our pitches in Toberona. A lot of work has been done by a large number of people over many years to get us here, in particular since 2018 when lorries started rolling into Toberona. A massive effort commenced in the weeks prior to 12th September and 4 club members in particular, Jim McGuinness, Kieran Somers, Eddie McArdle and John Kennedy deserve special mention and huge thanks. Without the drive and commitment of these fantastic volunteers grass would not be growing on the first ever pitch dedicated to hurling in County Louth. The journey continues however, as Offaly and Moninne legend John Kennedy said after sowing the final seeds, "We have to look after it now".
Buiochas aris le gach duine a thug go dti an pointe seo muid.
Moninne Abu 🖤💛
