ST FECHINS 2-17 NAOMH MONINNE 1-13
Our senior hurlers led in this latest Championship encounter against St Fechins right up until the 56th minute before conceding two late goals. In the match played in Darver on Thursday night August 19, Moninne led at the break by 1-8 to 0-7 thanks to a terrific goal scored by young Conor Murphy on the stroke of half-time.
Three successive points from Darren Geoghegan extended their lead to seven on 36 minutes and they still led by 1-12 to 0-14 with just over five minutes remaining.
It was the Fechins that finished the game strongly and outscored Moninne by 2-3 to 0-1 in the time that remained. Moninne will now take on Knockbridge in the semi final next Thursday night August 26 for the right to play the Fechins in the Final.
