Naomh Moninne started out as a youth hurling club in the Castletown area of Faughart in 1959. Since those early days with only juvenile players the club has come a long way and many trophies and honours have been won along the way. These days we field teams at all age groups including our junior and senior mens teams. While the club has always had a spiritual home in the Faughart area where things started all those years ago with an tAthair Pól Mac Sheáin we have been long without a physical home....a place to call our own.....a place to display the trophies....a pitch for our youngsters to visit and play their first match.....a clubhouse to return to in victory and celebration after a county final win.....a field to dream about scoring the winning point against Knockbridge, St. Fechin's, St. Kevin's Mattock Rangers and all the rest. In those many years without a home we have had many friends who have hosted us and shared their facilities Dowdalshill, Kilkerley, DKIT GAA, the Clans and the Young Irelanders among others, to them we are very grateful.

But now our dreams are coming true....our pitch is on it's way. The video here shows some of the great progress we have made so far.  But now we need you, we need you to help us achieve and realise our dream.....for your sake, for our childrens sake and for the sake of all the future players of Naomh Moninne. We need you to become a Field Hero to help ensure the pitch at Toberona becomes a field of dreams for the future players to wear the black and amber and raise the call of Moninne Abú!

If you want to know more or are interested in becoming a Field Hero send us a message on any of our social media channels, email us at naomhmoninne@gmail.com or ask any of our members.
